I don't really like Iron Maiden either... I just don't really get it :rolleyes: I'm the same with Metallica, they drag on a bit. You can now all call me names, as do most narrow-minded feckers who never heard of anyone having an OPINION! /rant

I really can't stand Dragonforce though. They really are sh*te.

I'm very pro Iron Maiden myself, although I wasn't always. I absolutely f*cking HATED them when i first heard them. (and here's where being an old fart comes in handy to have your day of reckoning but..)

... It took for them to knock Cliff Richard of the UK #1 spot with Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter for me to give them another shot. Dicko's high pitched voice can be just too much for some though.

For those who don't get Maiden, give Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son a shot again, you'll be surprised.

See, this is the classic problem with old school versus new school tastes. Of course anybody with half a brain understands and/or appreciates the positive influence Iron Maiden have had on metal globally, a hugely influential band for many people.

However, it does not fall to Maiden fans to express their distaste for somebody elses opinion. Whether or not this post in particular was made in jest or not, the sentiments still stand with a lot of people.

Most of the modern/young bands all sound the same and are crap. They also look like girls. Or blokes who don't know how to apply make-up correctly (they should go & look at people like Kiss, Alice Cooper, David Bowie & even dear old Ozzy to see how it's done!).

Those expressing a dislike for Iron Maiden and/or Rush should be locked in a room and forced to listen to Billy Ray Cyrus singing 'Achy Break Heart' on a constant repeat for hours, followed by a medley of Yoko Ono's conceptual art music - "aiiiyaiaaiaiiaiiiiiiiii!!!!". THEN YOU SHALL KNOW WHAT PAIN IS HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I just don't like Audioslave. Or Rage Against The Machine. Zach De La Rocha annoys me greatly.

System of a Down/Serj Tankian/The Other Gimp: just... no.

Tool. Mostly to do with their evangelical fanboy following, it irks me that people think such boring, uninteresting music (IMO) deserves such high regard and that I'm retarded for not thinking that. Listen to Opeth and shut up.

That's all I can think of. But I do not understand Muse hate. They're a creative and wholly enjoyable outfit.

Iron Maiden never did it for me, I always found their music and subjects to be extremely boring.

I don't know if you'd even call them rock, but All American rejects have to be the worst thing around at the moment. They're like a whingy kid who was never told to shut the **** up. Angsty rubbish at its worst.
