Have a very cheesy element to them or something, IMO! Have tried giving them a chance, borrowed an album of stuff when Tarja was in the band, (dunno if there's been any new material since the new one arrived) and could not really stand it.. Can't say I didn't try though!

You do know that there are bands that play other musical styles apart from nu-metal and metalcore that have formed since 95 right?

Fair enough if you really want to limit your music taste and only listen to the 'older stuff', it is your choice at the end of the day. But I just can't get over the utterly ridiculous notion of not liking anything because they formed after year x.

aye i know plenty of them, Chainbreaker, Primal Fear, Violator, Disturbed. I see wher your coming from there with the year thing, suppose ya cant define a genre or style by the year, though things did start to go a bit downhill in the 90's. Megadeth for example, went radio friendly rock after Countdown to Extinction.

That is very presumptuous. I judge bands by their music and not their appearance. I am not denying that manowar are talented, Im simply stating my personal dislike for them. Mostly due to being subjected to listen to them for about 8 hours a day by my uncle when I was young. This may sound ridiculous but now whenever I hear them, I'm reminded of being bored out of my mind all day and having to eat his nasty banana sandwiches!

It is presumptuous yes, but when you hear the same reasons over and over again, it's allowed. You're one of the very few people who has actually given a plausible (in my opinion) reason why they don't like Manowar.
