XP & Highpoint 370

    Following on from the win2k thread, I've just added a Deskstar 60GXP to a channel on a Abit TH7II - Raid Highpoint 370 controller.

    I haven't configured it in anyway, just added it on.

    In both the RAID BIOS and XP the drive shows up and logical disk manager tells me the drive is healthy, however when I go to format it to NTFS gives me this error message :

    "The format did not complete successfully"

    Anyone have any ideas? Google isn't giveing me much info.

    Are you useing the same driver version as you are High Point BIOS? they have to be the same version or they may cause problems/not proform as well as they can
