A personal fav of mine would be ...
    Blind Melon (eponymous)

Great album that I never seem to get tired of listening too, despite having for over 10 years

Oh and has, RHCP: BSSM been mentioned yet!? If not, you'd have to include that :)

    Van Halen - Van Halen
Ozzy - Blizzard of Oz or Diary of a madman or both!
    Thin Lizzy - Live life

    Hmmm....

Metallica - (The Black Album)... or better again, S&M
    Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Machine Head - The Burning Red
Nirvana - In Utero (and Nevermind, just Because.)

Also a big fan of Iron Maiden's Brave New World, although I'm not sure if it's an enduring classic for me. Oh, and just for fun... throw Rammstein's Sehensucht in there, along with Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe :)

    The Pixies - Surfer Rosa
The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Nada Surf - The Proximity Effect
    Sonic Youth - Dirty
Leftfield - Leftism (not rock/metal but hey, who cares?)
    Radiohead - The Bends

But that's my taste in music which differs greatly from the majority of readers of this forum.

Quite like that one myself. The only LP I ever won in a competition too.

    Great album, that.
The Wicker Man is a fantastic opening song.
Have you seen Rock In Rio?
They start straight into that and Bruce comes bounding out from backstage.
    Great stuff altogether.

At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul

Downright revolutionary Swedish metal band that sadly broke up shortly after this was released. But they were quite hugely influential, having bands from as far across as Canada taking their styles straight out of the At The Gates book.

    Overkill - Horrorscope

    Skyclad - Jonah's Ark (naturally)
    Amorphis - Eligy

Maybe not classics, but all without a note wrong.
