    Osama Bin Laden is alive according to the US State Department. A source in the Department said that a new recording of Bin Laden is genuine. The source also said that the tape, which could have been tampered with, contained several threats against Britain. The tape proves that, despite several rumours, Osama Bin Laden is alive and well and is still a threat. The tape was broadcast on the Arabic television station Al-Jazeera and also warned America saying "as you kill, you will be killed and as you bomb, you will be bombed." The voice on the tape also praised the bomb attack in Bali and the shooting incidents in Kuwait and Yemen and last month's hostage siege in a Moscow theatre. There were new threats made against the US as well as Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Australia. If the tape proves to be authentic it would be the strongest evidence yet that Osama Bin Laden survived the US and UK military campaign in Afghanistan and is still in hiding, either in Afghanistan or elsewhere in the region.
