Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As far as i can remember:

AllCAM has two states, Irdeto1 and Irdeto2 but FreeCAM is Irdeto.
A FreeCAM can be flashed using the pcmcia slot on a laptop, and with the right software the FreeCAM can be in any* encryption state but i dont think it does the version2 of the existing encryptions.

The reason i never liked FreeCAM was that in order to flick from one encryption type to another, you had to reboot the box..this may have changed and im sure it has.

MagicCAM is similar to FreeCAM, just more refined and will do the version2's of the existing encryptions but there are still software issues and legal ones too.

I dont think an offical subscription car will work in a FreeCAM but apparently it will in a MagicCAM, so you will be using a Funcard [latest is version 6 i think] and you will need a programmer to load "those!!" files onto it.

You will also need to do a bit of research too as everything does not work straight out of the box.
