Isnt there a function in Partition magic where you can partition the free space on your hard drive. Then you could install XP on this and use a boot manager ?

Partition Magic. Partition your disk into two drives, stick XP on the new one. afaik it's best to keep your hard disk with one file system for performance so format the new drive as FAT32 :)
