S.S.2003 indept review

Im sitiing down with a beer in my hand, its 17th of November 2002, 11:40pm. Im Sitting down beside a fire watching some 80s old skool death metal in anticipation of what is about to happen. I have that nervous anticipating feeling. Soon the 2002 Survivor Series is about to begin.

The over all PPV vavoured story development, after each match you were left wondering, I wonder where this is going to go? We just have to wait and see. People have already asked me what happened last night. One word, everything....

Opening Match:
Table Elimination Match
Jeff Hardy, Buh Buh Ray Dudley and Spike VS The 3 Minute warning
The first thing to excite me is the unique titan tron, apon entrances the match gets off to a very fast passed start, Jeff pulls of all his signature high risk moves, including an amazing leaping top rope poncha, in which his elevation lifts him so high over the top rope. From first glance, the whole scenerio bases uncanny resembalance to the Royal Rumble 2000 Match, mabey due to the typical nostalga that Madison Square Garden has over certin wrestlers. THe 3 Minute Warning dominted early in the match, even as Rosey goes through a table head first, yet seems uneffected. Spike is the first to preverbally taste wood, as Rosey and Jamal, with the aide of Rico reverse the Dudley Dog into a reverse power flap jack. Rosey and Jamal miss with soem high risk, as Buh Buh dominates, until Rico stops him in his track with a spin kick. Rosey goes through a table care of Jeff, Royal Rumble 2000 stylee, Swamton bomb off the side entrance. The pase doesnt slow down, however, Jeff slips on the guard Rail and takes a table to the head, Jamal frog splashes Jeff thru a table from the out side. With Buh Buh left alone he reverses Jamals hunicanrana attempt into a Dudleys style power bomb off the top rope. Jamal and Rosey return to secure the victory but the crowd erupt as unexpectally, D-Von runs out to help his brother, He clears the ring, and Rico goes crashing through a table due to a 3D. The untite brother hug and the crowd roars as the opening match comes to a close.

Cruser Weight Title Match
Jamie Noble VS Billy Kidman
After a Saliva preformance, with a very nice recap of all of tonights matches, the cruser weights begin, It start off with a session of fast pins. jamie soon picks up the pase. Some spectacular moves are pulled off, including Jamie Nobles suicide dive to the outside. Shortly after, Kidman goes for the Shooting star Press, but is blocked by Nidia as she attempts to pull him off the turmbuckle. Although, he does an impressive cross body to the outside. back in the ring, Kidman scores a modified choke slam style power bomb, which results in a near fall. The most impressive move off the whole night was with out a doubt, Jamie Nobles very painful looking DDT as Kidmans feet are on the top rope, which proves another near fall. Nidia once again tries to distract Kidman as he goes for his signature move but this time he pushes Nidia away, punches Noble off the top lands, the SSP, and scores the pin fall and after 6 months, Jamie Noble loses his cruser weight belt and Kidman becomes the 6 time light weight devision champ.

Womans Title Hardcore rules Match:
Trish Stratus VS Victoria
This was actually the match I was looking forward to the most. If you are farmiliar with this board, you will know I am a fan off the womens devision, and NO... not for the obvious reasons. After I saw "Torn to shreads" a few years ago, Ive been trying to get my point acrosss that women can preform better then men under te right surcimstances, and I believe the eye candy attitude is wrong. Plus Trish is a credit and an insperation to anyone, male or female, that wishes to progress and learn in any wrestling style. I was not disapointed however... After Victoria goes mental at a mirror, she takes it to Trish with a broom handle. Early in the match Trish takes some bad bumps, the trash cans are used quite effectivly, and fair play to the ladies, they sell the moves very well, and Victoria early in the match bursts her nose as Trish sling shots her into the bottom of a trash can. She follows up with a leg drop and a few martial arts kicks. Unfortunitly Trish gets sloppy as usual under presure and starts screwing up regarding setting up weapons and getting carried away, resulting in her taking some bad break falls. After some exchanges with trash can lids, and DDTs onto forigen objects, Victoria grabs a fire extinguisher, and snap suplexs Trish, and just as i was about to turn away, the match ended very quickly. Victoria is the second new title holder of the night.

WWE Title Match
Brock Lesner VS Big Show
Lesner gets an amazing ovation apon entrance, the match kicked off with Lesner proving Heyman wrong as he picks up Big Show for a back drop. He only lifts him about a foot off the ground, but soon gets a perfect german suplex on the 500 pounder. He tries the F5 but Show blocks it. Brock then launches the giant half way across the ring with a belly to belly over head suplex. With the ref knocked down, heyman throws in a chair, but show punches the chair away like it was nothing. Amazingly Lesner actually pickes up Show and does a complete F5 on him. It wasnt some lame ass attempt under the preasure of the big man, he just through him off as if he were a 150 ponder. As another ref rushes to count the pin, Heyman pulls the ref out of the ring and assaults him. Lesner seeing what has happened, chases Hayman out of the ring, and back in where a recovered Big Shown coke Slams Brock on to a chair. 1...2...3... A 8 month winning streak comes to an end, as does brocks title reign, as Heyman and his new client leave with haste.

WWE Tag Team Tripple treat match
Los Gurrerios VS Rey Mysterio Jr & Edge VS Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle
The match started off fast passed, and things continued like this through out the entire night. Rey Mysterio got very sloppy through out this match and at one stage lands on his head after he screaws up a split legged moonsault. Angle and Benoit worked perticularly well, the high light of this match regarding tag team work was the very quick instant ankle lock/crippler cross face combo on Edge. Rey Mysterio remained on the out side for most of the match, I suspect he did some damage to himself due to his carlessness. However, even though they are co-existing, and working well together, Angle and Benoit were the first to go. Chavo hit Benoit with one of the belts as he had the Crippler locked in. Angle attempted to hit Chavo with the belt but the ref stopped him. Thus Benoit rose to see Angle holding the belt as Eddie scored the pin fall. Benoit and Angle left arguing and pushing each other up and down the ramp. The speed of the match died down obviously, but with some more illegal interferience by Chavo and With edge on the outside, Eddie locked in his modified sharp shooter/texas clover leaf El Passo hold, as Rey Rey taps out under the preasure causing every title to have changed at the PPV so far.

First Ever Elimination Chamber Match for The World Heavy Weight title.
RVD VS Chris Jericho VS HHH VS Shawn Michaels VS Kane VS Booker T
The match began with Mr Porn Directer giving a mental introduction. RVD and HHH started off and RVD was very spectacular. Within the first 2 minutes RVD used HHHs head to break the cage door open, As he climbed the cages interior, he shot a middle finger in Y2Js direction, which did not make the King of the world very happy as he pulled RVDs leg through the top of his chamber. He pulled away and continued his high risk. Y2j was the next realeased and along with HHH they unleashed hell on RVD. RVD attempted to get away and at one stage he jumped from the ring ropes to the chains where he latched onto side of the cage. Booker T was the next out and after a breif stare down, RVD and Booker exchanged come blows with Booker coming out on top after a scissors and spinning heal kick. Thus RVD was the first to go when Jericho Lion saulted him. Kane was released next, he went on a rampage, throwing Jericho through a vaciant glass chamber. After a choke slam Booker was eliminated, as Jerico yetr again stole a victory after a Lion sault. Shawn Micheals was then realeased. It took a super kick, pedigree and another lionsault to eliminate Kane. Jericho turned his back on HHH, and was eliminated soon afterwards. It was up to Shawn Michaels and HHH now. After all was said and done after all the hype, A super kick made Michaels the new Worlds Heavy Weight champion. As confetty covered the arena, and the cage opened, Earl Hebner raised the legend that is Shawn Michael's hand in victory.
Thus bringing a close to the 14th Survivor series, Shawn Michaels once again left Survivor Series with a title belt.
