3 Firewire and onboard Ethernet though..
so I don't see any major need for anymore than 2-free.

I believe everything for sale is Medion. I suspect these may be ALDIs own brand as they appear to be german as well. UK website here http://www.medion.co.uk/

The pc sounds nice. Is that a good price for that spec? its been a while since i have been interested in getting new hardware.

That would have been more effective if your name didn't have "newbie" under it ;)

I can see its a good SPEC for the price, but I've heard some vague grunts about lack of comeback if/when something dies on an Aldi PC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Doodee

    No not really.
I got their machine last year and had no problems replacing the DVD-drive, they were promt to reply and had no problems / queries about what I told them was broken.

be sure to use the serial codes printed at the back of the tower

Anyone have any idea how good those speakers are? I've been in the market for a set of 5.1 speakers for a while, and in this country they tend to be rather more expensive than that.

And ur reply would might have been effective if you too had not have had newbie in your user title.

I wasnt claiming to not be a newbie :)
Just saying it was a bit hypocritical of you to be using it as an insult of sorts.

Thanks, I think next time they have laptops I'll give them a shot (I could use a nice laptop and they SEEM to be the best value).

Osiris, those speakers are pretty good. I have them. They stack up very well against the creative 5100's I used to have in terms of sound quality at least.

It wasn't an insult of sorts, it was a bit of banter. Was relating the newbie thing to him not knowing if it was a great deal or not. :)
