    thats bull**** from eircom, their still limited to 2.5km range, the average for world wide dsl.

    Well...either it was someone very new to their job that you spoke to or they lied...the launch material I looked at said it was €90 excluding VAT (as all telephony prices are....)...i'm even getting it installed myself and was told €108 ish inc VAT.

    I think you should call back and double check.

    No it's not
    interleaving is used by eircom-look it up on the interweb

    No offence but i used eircom adsl for 6 months i know what im talking about

    btw i havent kept up with esats offering, what exactly do they offer in modems, just usb? also what kind of unbundling is it. because i only know of the two versions of bitstream currently being offered by eircom

    esat adsl Modem Found an interesting PDF file, well worth a read. Very interesting piece of kit, much better then the pos eircom sell. What did they charge you for it?

    That would be 0. I guess esat still own it, but you don't pay anything.

    Do Esat give the option to buy the modem/router instead of renting?

    There's no rent. Its not like there is an option to tell them keep the modem in exchange for a reduction.

    €125 install charge (ex vat) includes the modem.
