the Ipaq has to be the ulitmate gadget but those picture phones are well cool. I has a look at some today, the nokia is horrible, has all the aesthetics of a brick. The samsung and the panasonic are sweet though. (all 087)

    ?500 worth of cd's + books.

Actually ?300 worth of cd's + books, ?200 worth of babysitter so I could enjoy them.

?500 worth of Anthrax to let loose in a superpub?

Don't get no phone until you can get a 3g phone. We still won't have broadband by then so you'll need one.

Picture messaging doesn't work because there's no standard for it either between operators or phone manufacturers = bit fat waste of time.

Go for the DVD-Burner. They're so cool. Peats are doing the new Sony DVD +/- R/RW. See:

Personally I'd put €500 towards getting a decent monitor. DVD burner is a good choice also though :)
