Minoka 510 Questions

A friend of mine bought a Minoka 510 DVD player in Power City recently. Is there any way of removing the region coding +/- Macrovision - preferably via the remote control? I know that there was with the older model also from Powercity - the 535. It was a rebadged Daewoo DVG-3000N. I can't find anything about the Minoka 510…
