Without even looking at the memory on the konplett site, lots of Thinkpad 600Es like slightly different memory compared with their other 600E friends.

Probably worth looking at Crucial and figuring out which.

Sheeit, 2645-5A0 is the one I have, not on the list.

2645-5AU is closest there and that only takes PC66 apparently. I guess mine would only take that too? $:\$

Another question: Can you mix DDR ram of different speeds and have the whole lot run at the lowest common speed, sdram style?

Yeah, ddr 333 will run fine at 266mhz if thats what you mean.
