I'm going to have to go with
    • Circular faux metal stickers on square petrol caps
    • Fake air intakes glued onto cars
    • Blue Rally flaps on wine coloured family car

That's all that come to mind right now, any others?

Btw, before anyone posts back saying that i'm persecuting modders, i like quite a few mods. In fact, i'm going to post a pic of my friends mx3, it's kinda cool...

    1) a golf GTi badge on any car other than the one to whose arse it was glued onto when it left the factory

    2) Brilliant one I saw recently was a 98/99 mazda 323 saloon with a VW "red i" TDI badge on the boot.......

    3) some odd jap import micra with a full nismo bodykit, remember chekin it our and it looked like a lejit part (nismo are to nissan as amg/quattro/m/sti are to merc/audi/bmw/subuaru) but the great thing was (apart from the horrendous shade of green were the little tiny steel wheels hiding under the wheelarch extensions. dumb as ****.....

    why why?

There's someone in Kilkenny who has an utterly shíte looking Micra. Its dark green, with blacked out windows with air bubbles, go-faster stripes on the bonnet and roof, fake air intakes on the bonnet, big alloys, a crappy plastic eagle thingy glued to the bonnet, fake blue brake discs on the alloys - front and rear, big fúcking speakers, crappy spoiler, little blue spotlights and the fake metallic petrol tank lid... its painful to think about it any more.

The guy who drives this abomination is about 40, bald and has a moustache and wears shiny adidas tracksuits.

Make the bad man stop :(

Well, I didn't want to totally shame this guy, but what the hell.

That wine coloured family car also had large lime green stickers (grafix i think they call them! :D )

There was a Mazda MX-5 parked in Blackrock with too thin looking white stripes across the bonnet (like the Corvette style). When I looke dcloser it was two strips of white gapper tape.

    ..why would you do that?

Most naff things that catch my eye are in rather then on the car, ie 5 nodding dogs on the back shelf, a lit up "Our lady" on a dashboard (!) I spotted one night , stickers like "Passion Wagon Dont laugh your daughter could be in here!"

    That sort of ****e.

    Mike.

I've seen more M3 & M5 badges on bog standard Beemers than I care to mention.

a ford escort painted 3 different colours in multiple stripes down the whole of the car! looked insane, just wanted to get a very heavy sledge to it

a cd-r hanging by a string from the rear-view mirror.

the car itself was ok, but it lost all credibility with that disgusting cd.

Fuzzy Dice! Oh.. Wait.. That's in my car.

    I know they're cheesy, but I like'em.

Now, if only I could see oncoming traffic past them... ;)

I always have to laugh at people who put spoilers and alloys on a piece of **** approx 1990 fiesta, more than likely with a NO FEAR sticker on the inside of the back window.

    fnukin loosers.

Worst I ever seen was a saloon car type (cant remember what make) with a Rased back wing/airfoil thingy ( it looked like someone had nicked it off a F1 car and glued it to theres. Compleatly to big for the car... and I think it would stop them from opening the boot too...

An other thing I really think is bad. The Racer boys who drill holes in the exsost.... on their flipen Hair Dryers with weels (mopeds)

Is that what it is when the sound is unbearable off them. I thought they had a problem with their exhaust and didnt have enough pocket money to repair them
    pillocks.

"My other car is a ____"

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,398 ✭✭✭ando

Rear window stickers of radio stations, a sure sign of a ****ty driver (especially the idiots who put up multiple ones, red Fm and 96fm, make up your mind dammit)

An impreza with 555 somewhere on their licence plate, it was barely cool the first time I saw it, 5 years ago.

Modified (by the way I am massively interested in car modifying) vans. BUY A REAL CAR YOU CHEAP BASTID

De-badged cars (unless its going for the smooth look), "wow almost thought that golf 1.2 was a gti for a sec", "wonder what that bmw is?"
Worse than the M-tech badges on some bmws the worst I saw was some guy who had a 520 (im assuming here) but chipped away the 20 and placed the M badge in front of the 5 CROOKED. Seamless job there mate, shame the exhaust gives the game away.

Baby on board stickers, as if hitting cars was elective.
Fake rear brake discs, the ones that cover up the drums. Wheres the caliper????
Fake intercooler piping, never seen it but Ive seen it advertised in magazines! Are you trying to get your ass kicked?
Come to think of it, anything fake gets me going the wrong way.

Any sticker on the rear windscreen or doors that advertise what type of car it is ie.... "MICRA", i know its a freaken micra, that aint anything to boast about.

Worst has to be those neon washer jets, totally tacky.

General rule, if it cost less than 50 euros, is available at all motorstores and you think it will visually enhance your car, its going to be tacky.

This is completely OT - but I once had a date with a guy who had a BMW cover on his Nokia phone - and drove a fiesta. I insist it was only one date!

The worst i ever saw was a Punto... a PUNTO i emphasise with a massive big spoiler looking like it was taken from an F1 car on the roof... it was NAFF!!!

  • Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 11,100 Mod ✭✭✭✭MarkR

That reminds me, i saw a fiat (either a cinquento or a punto), debadged, (as if we couldn't tell it was a fiat) with tinted windows, and they either sawed off the exhaust or had an induction kit. Valiant effort though!

I thought I'd say in advance that "I win!!"

    Ready?

    Sure?

    Here goes. Picture this if you can;
An ancient white (and filthy) Daihatsu Charade 1.3d with a (badly) home made alluminium 'kit which was completley unfinnished!! Not even a lick of paint. But here's the best part; it was pop-rivetted on!!!!!
:p:p:p I laughed so hard I nearly puked.
Also there were worn out tartan cloth seat covers in it not to mention a shovel on the back seat and clay all over the place!
Grade A. Max Power cover car awaits I feell.
    [intentional sarcasm]
