    it there some sort of law that your employer has to pay you the day they said they would pay you in your contract.


    like if you wages are nearly a week late is there anything you can do about it?

    Depends on what reason your employer is giving for the late payment.

    Ive been paid a day or two late on a number of occassions but the company said the bank screwed up, but like i said it was only a day or two late..

    Any ideas whats causing it??

    Are there any other employees getting paid late too???

    I believe that the Working Time act says that you have to be paid on the day that is specified on your contract. When they say paid they mean have access to your pay.

    Ring the Dept of Labour/Employemnt they have some great booklets that explain your rights and what to do if the above situation occurs
