Hypothetical question: If someone in Dublin who maybe had an NI Sub was to get a Sky+ box could they get it installed?

Unlike regular subscriptions, which may be 'out of contract' and so avoid the 'be connected' clause, and hence operate untoubled, so far as I know, phone line connecton is a must for Sky+ (Stops neighbours sharing subscriptons). In that sense, an NI Sky+ installation in Dublin would probably not last too long.

I have thought about solving this problem before. Would anyone know if it would be a major task to build or buy a 'pre-dialer' which would sit between the digibox and the phone line. If the box decides to call 08451231234, for example, this 'router' would actually dial out 14100448451231234, which would make it undetectable to Sky where the call came from. It seems to be a simple enough piece of kit, after all some of the telcos installed similar devices to 'route' certain types of calls to their network in the days before Carrier PreSelection.
