    1% increase on the lower rate of VAT. That lower rate of VAT covers a lot of areas - food/drink/electricity/gas/newspapers etc

    Student Housing Tax Incentive gone to. Well done charlie screw people without any money. Although that might please some people around here.

    Increases money in for /meh =
    €10 a month on wages with increased tax credits.
    €8 a month on the young fella.
    €40 a month relief for the next seven years for first time buyers.

    Decreases money in for /meh =
    €40 for pass cards etc for the year. (Thank god ripped up me credit cards)
    1% On all services etc = approx €200 a year (on my current spend)

    Looks like I am up a few quid

    Does that 35c on alcopop thing cover pints of Smirnoff ice ??

    As I suspected - a damp squip. Still having wound us all up to expect hellfire and damnation many will feel slightly relieved which was the intention of course. Still that said VAT up on the lower rate is not clever for inflation, my plastic friends will cost me another
    €30 a year, then theres that holliday home overlooking Galway bay
    I was going build...ah well! ;)
