I tried of hearing the theory that guys masturbate more so that guys. I don't honestly believe this for one minute.

For this reason I have posted up a poll.

Mods, if this is inappropriate feel free to delete it, but I am simply looking for answers to this theory which I very much disagree with.

Just ask people.

Girls masturbate, but it's less common than guys.

One of the figures I hear before was 95% of guys & 60/70% of girls.

Also, girls tend to go through times when they do it alot or not at all.

So yes, they do, but not quite so rampantly as guys. (o:

I think there will be a bit of a bias on your result. I'm not sure of the exact ratio, but I'm sure boards.ie has a higher proportion of males than females.

The penis is a fair bit easier to get access too, and men have regular erections to keep the organ healthy (and to ensure it doesn't literally drop off due to gangarene) then the clitoris and labia.

Also, men handle their equipment more then women eg. urinating.

ah blatant honesty....

im sure girls do it a lot more than they let on...its not something me and my friends have ever talked about unless there are sex toys involved

. if im going to be really really honest then yes i will admit to doing it occasionally, but in all truth and honesty, i dont do it at all on a regular basis-cant be arsed. if ive got a bloke i dont need to do it myself, and if i dont then im rarely in the mood.
