IE 6 Refresh error

I using IE 6 on Win98 and when i try and use the "Back", "Refresh" or any thing other than clicking a link the page loads wrong i can see the source code and the page is screwed up like the colours are wrong and the tables all f'ed up. I dosen't happen all the time but enough to be very annoying. Can anyone help?

do a repair installation
in control panel-add remove programs
select Internet explorer 6
click add-remove program

follow it from ther
