    i'll give my first 3 ... i started off well but quickly ventured into the realms of the classics

    1. thin lizzy - dedication
    2. jive bunny and the mastermixers- c'mon everybody(oh hell yeah)
    3. mc hammer- u cant touch this

    also wacko jackson....still like their early 80's stuff.

    first album i bought(after years of saving)
    Def Leppard - Hysteria,

    1st Album I bought was TOTP1978 i think, David Soul - Silver Lady, Telephone man song,Boomtown Rats - Mary of the fourth form and other such strangedom, oh yeah and the soundtrack to Close Encounters....why god only knows

    1st singles I bought were a bit more worthy, maybe

    Union City Blue - Blondie
    Adam and the Ants - Kings of the wild frontier
    Abba - Does your mother know ( it rocked (a little bit))

    First song I ever taped on the radio on an old BASF orange tape(remember them?) which was about 10 years old to begin with was...Native New Yorker...can't remember who sang it....it was on an old Ferguson 3 n 1...stereo system...none of yer fancy CD thingumys in the early 80's you know !

    and one of those compilation cds with "indie bands" on it.

    in fact i probably had pop compilations before that i just cant remember.I think it had stuff like that early 90s ****.i cant remember or perhaps i just dont want to.

    Think the first album i actually bought meself was Guns-n-Roses Lies i think. Had Appetite taped already, oh naughty.
    I think i got The Saw Doctors or something shocking like that next, can't really remember, or have i blocked it from my memory!

    Best album i ever bought : Nirvana, Nevermind

    Worst album I ever bought : Presidents of the United States of America! (2nd hand)

    woh...everyone must be about the same age here....

    someone metioned the simpsons, i defo had that

    i had a saw doctors tape too

    also my first single was defo sweet child of mine on tape (still have it upstairs)

    i had michael jackson - off the wall... but that was a pressie so i'm not sure when i got that

    i also had a roxette album, probably joyride

    and

    beautiful south - carry on up the charts

    With the exception of acuiesefc, your all children.

    The first record I owned was "Grease" the sountrack. Followed by "Elvis' greatest hits" the one with pink vynal.
    But the first record I ever bought was AC/DC "Powe age" to this day is still one of my fav. records.

    First album I bought was 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly' soundtrack, but the first record I owned was the single 'Rainbow Connection' by Kermit the Frog (complete with transparent green vinyl).

    It was from 'The Muppet Movie'. Didn't quite live on in people's hearts, did it?

    Come to think of it, that was the first film I saw in the cinema too.

    For x-mas when i was about 12 i got a gettoblaster and a tape {which i begged for} called 'Love at the movies' a compilation full off all these slow songs from well the movies obviously like the theme from arther, that roxette song from pretty woman, the song from dirty dancing etc!!!!!
    Others include now 20 , Big ones by Aerosmith and the immaculate collection by madonna :eek:

    The first album i remember going into a shop and buying properly was definetly maybe by oasis {a classic}

    Haha oh you lie!! It was so Boyzone or something to that effect!!!:D
    Mine was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat Original Cast Recording on vinyl which i still have its bloody brilliant - the campest thing ever. CD wise it was probably Chers Greatest Hits. Including such hits as Gypsies Tramps and Thieves and If we could turn back time. Thats good listenin!!!

    First album I ever listened to/loved/learned off by heart was London:0 Hull: 4 by the Housemartins - but that was ages after it's release - first purchase was welcome to the beautiful south; second was spartacus by the Farm.

    I remember buyin Now6 i think it was, played it to death, had some great stuff on it....not Scritti politti, Power station, Old U2(i dont mean zooropa kids) and Axel F, remember turnin volume up on that and annoyin ma/pa
