In the last few weeks I've had to delete and edit more posts on this board than I've ever had to before on this board, and that's just when meglome and amp haven't got there before me.
This is now a pretty busy board - the sixth largest on all of boards.ie, overtaking the Half-Life board and breaking the 30,000 posts mark in the past month - and in general I think it's a good one. We've got a lot of pretty interesting chatter about games, consoles and the industry, and in fact this is one of the better places on the net to talk about games, imo.
However, there are also some people here who apparently reckon that the "Games" title on the board is a slang term for "off topic rubbish and personal insults", and there are quite a few others who reckon they're entitled to launch attacks on other users or try and force other users off the board by means of downright unpleasantness.
That's not acceptable. You know who I'm talking about. I've been deleting posts that had nothing but abuse or off-topic waffling in them, and soon enough I'll be issuing bans to more persistent offenders - some of whom are long-term residents of the board, but I frankly don't care. Behave offensively and you're gone, and I don't give a damn if you're the second coming of Christ.
Those who I'm talking to KNOW who they are. The rest of you, carry on, nothing to see here!
