A general shopping forum would be better. Plus it'd attract more of the fairer sex, which can only be a good thing. Or a chocolate forum.

I think its a very good idea. could have been very useful on the run up to christmas but i'd say it would still be useful all year round.

dunno if an actual forum of its own is really neccessary but it would be good to have somewhere with a list of reliable places you could buy stuff on the web and perhaps some of those nice user guide thingys for sites like ebay and the like....
