Creating a default user profile in XP

Hi Lads, What I'm trying to do is create a default profile in XP so that when a new user logs in all desktop settings etc are the same. I've tried setting up a profile and copying it into the all Users with no effect. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

did u try group policy
its invented for this reason :-)
