Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

right, what im lookin for is ways to reduce lag in the half-life engine wen playin your own custom maps. is there any special way to compile maps to make them less laggy? if u have a cube is it better to have one big cube, or 6 walls wit the inside hollow??

    anything else is appriciated

Its pretty much how much the player can see. Try using vis brush thingys. Also reduce the amount of models in your map.

Its better to make one big cube because it has less polygons. Also i'm sure textures come into play when it comes to fps so don't stick 512x512 textures all over the gaff.
