    Hi Im in first year in college and im doin java please help ive not a clue wat im doin!

    get out a book on java from the library, and have a read through it. A good start would be the one recommended by your lecturer.

    Alternatively, do the java.sun.com tutorials on java - found them very useful. Try here.

    Come back with more specific questions / problems if you want answers
