Problem with Windows Update

    I am using win xp and have it set to automatically download any window updates but it has been stuck at 19% for a while now and was wondering when on your machine does windows store the updates before you choose to install them.I was thinking if I just delete it and start again

    empty cache..
    reconnect under different IP
    and go through all procedure of scanning drive for updates etc.

    try that and see how ya get on
