Weird Problem

Hey, Whenever i use my cd drive, either burning a cd or listening to music or getting something off it, it causes errors in my net connection.



What could be causing it?

Do you use winamp to play music CDs and does it have the option to automatically lookup the CDDB every time you insert a disk?

Get a better modem. No, really!

Does your music pause/jump when you connect/hangup? (Every software modem I've seen makes your system do this)
It's probably the same thing, working the other way around.

Hold down Alt and press Print Screen.

Takes a screen shot of the currently focissed windw and places in in the clipboard.

Just an aside:

Make sure your drives are in DMA or UDMA mode. They'll use about 3-4% cpu time then as opposed to 60-70%.

And like phaxx said, get a hardware modem or ISDN

I've been using windows media player 7 to play music. I'm using a us robotics external modem. I'm getting isdn soon so **** it i'll see what happens.
