LCD Monitors with geforce 3's???

    I bought a Geforce 3 -Gaindward Geforce PowerPack Ti/500 128ddr ram- from komplett a few weeks ago.
    I am getting a new monitor - Hansol 17" LCD H711 TCO-99
    Monitor, LCD, Flatscreen- for Xmas.
    I was wounder would the card be able to run the monitor..
    Is there a different connection on the LCD's.
    If not, what cards will run it and
    Is the monitor any good...... I need Help!!!!!!!!!!

    Nope you shouldnt need a new card.
    The flatscreen monitors are the same vga connection.
    I bought a dvi adapter for mine to use cause my 21" is on the vga.
    But u shouldnt need to :)

    lcd = tft = flat panel
    crt = regular (big) monitor


    tfts basically just save u space, but u also do away with the need for glare guards as they dont emit radiation. ie u can look at them for hours without mayb gettin headaches as u would with crt.
    also crt's generally give better refresh rate than tft's so better for gaming.

    oh ye tft's have a bigger visable area. a tft is comparible to a crt 2 inches bigger

    Would have made more sense if he had!

    Anyway
    LCD = Liquid Crystal Display
    TFT = Thin film transistor (i think.. could be wrong)

    Anyway an LCD screen is obvious.. you have them everywhere.. the digital display on a watch is LCD... TFT is a standard of LCD, its considered the highest quality at affordable levels. Other types are DSTN, and HPF (i think, dont ask me what they mean though as i dont care). They suck.. cheaper.. you get em on cheapo laptops.. they usually leave mouse trails on the screen too... eh they suck!!
