Sm58 for vocals. If you're looking to record guitars / drums too, then the SM57 is your man. How much are ya looking to spend?

i was hopin to keep it around the 100E mark, and i'd like to use it for both recording guitar and vocals

This is a dynamic mic though. You'll probably want to get a condenser mic for a few more Euro in the future.

I'd go for a 57 if you want to mic up the amp & sing.

    From the states:

    http://www.music123.com/Item/?Itemno=63813

I've bought an excellent set of headphones from them, got here in 5 working days, was pleasantly surprised!

Total price would be $109.99 including shipping. We got one from Rocksteady Music little over a year ago for £120, ouch! It did come with cable & stand though ...

(Their email responce is about a day, check if cables come with and make sure they are permitted to ship to Ireland, some evil companies like Fender don't allow shops to sell across borders as that would increase competition in a pissy little backwarter like Ireland obliterating the sweet little cartel the 3 or 4 main shops in Dublin have ... AKG and Ampeg can definitly be sold to us)
