    Ian, its very good :)

I've been on it since day one ;)

Speeds are good on 56k, better than most IMO.

Their support is very good aswell.

I dont have a url to their call sheet, but i know that mobile calls will be the exact same as eircom.

    Sign up now!!!!!!! :)

If yer not big into games, then you have to get it. It doesnt make sense not to.

I've been on since nearly day 1 and it's been pretty damn reliable.

as above..i think its a great service , saved me loads of money....if your a gammer then from time to time it can be bad...but atm its as good as any isp i have had (and i've had a few)....
as for the company themselves..they are probably the best i have come accross...maybe they are run by carlsberg :)

    what pings are ye getting?
Are both dial-up and ISDN pings poor/average/good
    ?

    What equipment/setups do ye have?

Oh, and could someone put up a breakdown of what makesup the €30 a month? IS there "line rental" (not physical line, i know you still pay that to eircom).
We're just looking to offload as much of the bill as we can onto people in the house who only use the phone for voice.

    SyxPak:

Your charged each month for next months subscription and for the voice calls for the month gone.

It is quite cheap. Typcailly costing me about 70 euro a month total, granted the phone isnt used much, but thats fine with me :)

Big difference from 200/month so i am a happy camper.

I don't game a whole lot, so pings are not an issue for me, my main thing is SSH, its sometimes very fast and sometimes laggy. On ISDN it is great, but i've only got 56k, mite get isdn thou in the new year. or mite get some sort of broad band :)

You also still pay eircom their bit, but that should all change sometime in the new year all going well :)

    P.

I subscribed to UTVip as quickly as I could, and was satisfied with connections until they or Nevadatel.com did something somewhere that made it difficult for me to connect or stay connected. I was told it was probably line problems in my house, so I disconnected both other phones, one being a cordless, and connected directly to the Eircom line entering through the foundation slab. That didn't help. Then I went to the Internet and found the latest driver for my modem and downloaded that and (I think) got it installed and running. Then I rang UTVip tech support and got some guidance (although I have to say somewhat irritable guidance) from a young fellow there on loading the driver. I think it was already loaded. That didn't seem to help much. I sent an email to Nevadatel.com telling them of my troubles and saying I thought it was their problem because I could hear a noise on the line when the modem was dialing UTVip. The past week things seemed to have improved, and I'm sure if it stays improved, I'll never know from UTVip or Nevadatel.com what made the improvement. The odd "off/on" clicking noise still seems to be on the line during the dial-up process.
