Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

one or two things I noticed :

fill out the 02 details : o2.ie(the last one) .. not o2(only need to fill out once)

the numbers shoudl always be 0035387XXXXXX

    not 087XXXX

Send SMS using : should always be 02.ie

I dunoo if thats help to anyone

If any of you have perl installed and use those old-fashioned "command-line" yokes, there's a simple alternative to that program available at:

    http://www.mackers.com/projects/o2sms/

    ...if anyone's interested.

I get a "Failed (webserver timed out)" message.

Anyone esle seen this or have a solution?

    Ro

I'm now getting the failed login details error message.

I am using the O2.ie component, and have checked my login details on the site, and have tried various ways of writing the phone number.

I have an underscore in my O2 username. Could this be a problem?

I cannot get this O2SMS to work either, I get a long failure string , I'm thinking O2 updated / changed the sms gateway code. Maybe there'll be an updated version (O2SMS) out soon , or is old version working for anyone ???....

Sorry for all these continuous replies but I got version
2.4.3 to work .... there is a scroll arrow above login details
-you need to make sure this is scrolled to O2 IE and enter details
    (I had it set to O2 login ) :o

    - Anyway it works now

    nice one

That now works for me too.

It only seems to work with numbers in the 003538XXXXXXXX format. I tried with +3538XXXXXXXX, and 08XXXXXXXX it said that it was sent, but the message did not arrive.

    Just FYI,

O2 Have an Outlook Plugin that allows you to send SMS messages from Outlook, using the account of your phone (messages appear to come from the phone.) You get charged standard SMS rate, but it's quite handy for fast typing.

When this program works, it's better because the text appears to come from your number, so when someone replies, it will go directly to your phone, and it's free!

It's actually a great piece of programming.

The other huge advantage of this plug-in is that you can send directly to anybody who's name/number you have saved in your Outlook contacts - No need to cut/paste numbers into the web-page any more.

I get the same problem intermittently, which seems to happen whe I use a dialup connection as opposed to a LAN connection at work. Bizzare!
