Recruitment agencies

    Kind of off topic, but can anyone recommend some decent recruitment agencies that specialise in IT related positions; I've found a lot of them a pain in the ass to deal with in the past ie. sending you for interviews that are not relevant to what you're looking for. While I'm on the subject, are there any CV related sites out there, I'm looking for a few examples.

    All I can think of are http://www.cpl.ie . They seem to specialise in IT.

    CPL is probably the best of the few specialist agencies there are. It's not worth bothering with across the board agencies who deal with IT recruitment. Most don't have properly trained consultants (no IT background etc.) so they don't have a clue when it comes to placing people is suitable positions. Also a good agency should give you help with a CV if you need it before sending it out to a prospective employer. Certainly the agency I worked for this year was more concerned with qualifications than the layout of the CV, like a lot of places they use their own standard layout showing the name of the agency.
