    Hi...

    Quick query...

I've a few gigs coming up doing some standard DJ'ing. As I haven't done it much up until now, I'm not completely sure of the going rate for a DJ... what should I charge, basically...?

Some gigs would be all night events - up to 5 hours possibly (21st's, Disco-bar, etc.), while some would be only an hour or two (small private day-time parties, intermission between live acts, etc.) so I guess I'd need to know what would be a good rate to charge both per hour and per night...

    *hup*

    took €50 for a 2 hour job I did on Saturday (5 - 7pm - Kids party)... sound OK?

question still stands - what's the going rate for (non-professional) DJ'ing...? Anyone?

i just asked a mate who's a dj and he said for 2 hours, anywhere between 100-200 (he said anything you think u can get away with at first) but i dont know if thats with or without equipment, i presume with.

non-professional ... small amount of experience ... equipment not provided by venue... (well ... CAN and DO plug in to their own built in amp and speakers in the hall)
