No idea, something logical, mathsy. Trinity most likely, theoretical physics or mathematics, maybe something different. Ive got another few weeks to decide.

Anyone i've talked to who is doing/done archaeology found it mind-numbingly boring. However if watching Time Team is your kind of thing i'm sure you might get a kick out of it. Greek and Roman Civilisation and Celtic Civilisation are supposed to be fairly interesting while not being too tough

You can always change subjects if you pick something that you don't like too.

You can put down any old crap for this date, excluding restricted coarses (e.g need portfolio) you can change them up until July

Exactly, just make sure all your subjects aren't ridiculously hard or crap because i know a few people who made really bad choices and just ended dropping out.

    Pref Course Code Name
    1. TR071 General Science (Trinity)
    2. TR005 Philosophy (Trinity)
    3. TR014 Philosophy & Political Science (Trinity)
    4. DN008 General Science (UCD)
    5. DN012 Arts (UCD)
    6.
    7.
    8.
    9.
    10. FT228 Computer Science (DIT)

I spent the last 3 hours compiling this, only had the first choice before so its an improvement :)

Last years points are ALL OVER the place for these courses, not in order of top points (that would be silly), just in order of favourites. General Science in Trinity was 385 last year tho.
    CS in DIT was 300.

    DC121 - Computer Applications, DCU
    MH203 - Computer Science, Maynooth

I only want the DCU one. I've looked at other courses and none of them grabbed my eye. I dunno what else I should put down, or even if I should put anything else!
Have made the application this weekend, I intend to add something else, but don't know what.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,105 ✭✭✭Tyrrial

Computer App in DCU is really great trust me phaxx....

well you really don't have any reason to trust me... but the least you could do is beleive me...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Sev

Ok.. well apart from the first 2, I didnt think these choices through very well. The following courses are just random padding I threw in at my discretion that kinda appealled to my tastes. That said, Im not so sure yet of the order of the first 2 in the list, I could be swapping them around in May when I make some changes again.

    1. TR035 - Theoretical Physics (Trinity)
    2. TR031 - Mathematics (Trinity)
    3. DN020 - Actuarial and Financial Studies (UCD)
    4. TR207 - Maths and Economics (Trinity)
    5. MH206 - Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (Maynooth)
    6. TR032 - Engineering (Trinity)
    7. TR033 - Computer Science (Trinity)
    8. TR600 - Mathematics/Psychology (Trinity)
    9. TR074 - Computational Chemistry/Computational Physics (Trinity)
    10. TR018 - Law and French (Trinity) :D

I threw law and french in at the bottom for kicks.
No disrespect intended, Ian, Sangre.. and Grace :P
