Recording EAX

(sorry if this is in the wrong place) Anyone know how to record EAX audio effects? I want to be able to turn EAX off, but still have the effects on some pieces of audio (for a film). It's extremely frustrating that none of the Creative software seems to let you do this :(

I know that with my old SB Live! card, the Creative drivers had a "What U Hear" mode that let you, eh, record whatever you could hear coming from your machine :-) This included all the funky realtime reverbs etc. To listen to it then you'd need to turn off the EAX stuff, or else it'd be reverbing the reverb and things sound mighty weird...
