Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's not 5 years since this place started with it's new name, but it'll soon be 5 years from Feb 98, which is when the first post to what, the wwwboard was? Anyways, just thought it worth mentioning.

Anyone heard from any of the old-skool who have gone missing? Where did all of Maynooth disappear off to? Like Jim, Chaos etc.

    Alo.

Jim got married recently. His net access in work was severly curtailed and then he got a girlfriend and that put and end to his quaking days. Chaos is working in a call centre somewhere...possibly for eircom. malek is in Australia. I'm still here.

    5 years? oh dear god...
and with about 5 hours a week browsing boards.ie..
that comes to a whopping 54 days you've taken from my life.
give up drinking/smoking? pah screw that gotta give up the boards...

Ken.. wondering if the meaning of life really is to post crap on an internet bulletin board :)

5 hours a week? jesus there are people here who spend 5 hours a DAY on the bleedin site hahah...

Remember if you read 1 post per minute it would take you 17 hours every day to read all of that day's posts....

If you spend 2 hours every day (including weekends) you have spent 450 x 8 hour (working) days if you spent the entire 5 years doing that.

Thats almost 2 full working years "working" for Boards.ie

    No, you dont get paid.

what? on boards? what? for the past 5 years?

Well!... Then you'd have spent 2 hours * 365 days * 5 years = 3,650 hours - minus 24 hours because 2000 was a leap year, that makes 3,626 hours spent on boards in the past 5 years.

3,626 hours is 151 days & 2 hours, which is approximately 0.41 years.

    Yes, I'm that bored.

Bard please alter your equation to include at least one leap year and the possibility of having leap minutes and even seconds...
