yeah they have put in a load of anti-famring\newbie bashing features in there.

You start off with sweet-f-all ubt roids will be cheaper to get. Notice also that you cant be attacked for the first 72 hours of your existance and that there is a Galaxy Defence fleet to protect everyone in a galaxy.

Plus you can choose which kind of roid you want to initiate.

Theres a few changes but itll all balance out in the end.

Ive got 8 in my galaxy including me. At least 2 of them were pretty l33+ last game and we already have discussions going as to who will take up the top jobs.

Make sure you do the same, cos its gonna be very important this round. Alliances will be secondary to your own galaxy thanks to the new Galaxy Defence Fleet.

How do you get more? Do I have to research something to get Asteroid SCanning waves?

I get the feeling you could easily do the wrong thing at the start and lock yourself out of the game...

The first thing I did was start construction of a mining center to ensure I get some decent metal every tick(hour). I then initiated my 1 'roid to be a metal roid, because most things at the beginning use metal.
With all my money spent i waited a cpl of hours then started researching wave amplifiers, which will let me research Scope amplifiers which will allow me to do a roid scan.
