what do I have to do/download etc to get started. I understand the lag can be fairly annoying especially seeing as my pc is getting on.

I am playing opposing force at the moment and I would like to play team fortress.

So info on online or even if there are any LAN games knocking about.

    tah very much.

    Lets see,

Firstly I'd make sure your modem is all setup correctly, so I'd pop over to www.lagless.com and get sortted there.

Next you'll need to get halflife patched to the current release version. Thats 1100 or something, so thats a downlaod just under 40meg smile.gif try www.barrysworld.com.
You may wish to get the patch on a games mags coverdisk.

Thats should be it then, just connect to the game servers.

take a look at gamespy, hand for finding those games etc.
