    I'll have to go along with some of the great solo's that have been mentioned so far like:
    Metallica - Fade to Balck
    Metallica - Orion
    Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
    Pearl Jam - Alive.
    Guns n Roses - November Rain(outro solo)
    Guns n Roses - Paradise City(middle of the solo)

    I was happy to see that somebody mentioned Smashing Pumpkins - Soma, which is a great song with a fantastic solo.
    I also saw Pearl Jam - Rear View Mirror metioned which is one of my favourite songs, but it doesn't really have a solo, although the outro is fantastic.
