I was wondering if there is anyway that i get around the firewall in college (if it is the firewall) so that i can DL exe files and such.

We have to connect through port 8080 and it seems to stop us from downloading zip, exe, mp3 files and such.

Anyone know if there is a proggy that i can get to get around this? or is it impossible to get around?

I can upload files at home, change the '.zip' at the end to '.jpg' and then download the 50 meg picture in college. That seems to be the only way that i can get around it.

    Cheers.

    reD.
