    "Count Dracula", the 15-year-old formerly known as Silviu Dumitrescu from Cabra, Dublin, will represent Ireland in the forthcoming European Championship Chu Chu Rocket finals. Chu Chu Rocket on the Sega Dreamcast is the first console-based game which can be played online. Players connect to the "Dreamarena" via the Dreamcast's modem.

    Gotta say , chu-chu rocket blows ass.
    Played the DC online there a coupla weeks ago in from work with pretty much every game that is playable on dreamarena , apart from the **** all ppl to play against , the lag is silly.
    I wont play anything bar starcraft online anymore, maybe when broadband for ps2 or similar comes about this might take off , but online console gaming sucks, no question.

    In America yes , in ireland no.
    You can now pick it up for 149.99 USD , its still a small bit too much for something thats gonna die anyway over here. Don't buy one , emulation is around the corner for hi-spec PC's and its losing ground on the unreleased ps2 and other consoles. PSX games currently outsell DC games 10 to 1!

    Why bother , they're all ****ers in there anyway , for the exact same price you get a brand new DC , chu chu rocket, another game of your choice and a free VMU!!!
    And of course safety in the knowledge that you were served by ppl who know something about games rather than those **** wits.

    What the hell is anyone doing playing over the modem anyway?? Like 3 friends can't be that hard to dig up to play on the console ffs. Leave online gaming to planetarion or something (which I recently found out works on the DC biggrin.gif )
