Nope, I dont use the IRC bit at all in Planetarion, Im happy poddling along and building up a nice modest trading planet, ie waiting till I have loads of money, build a massive fleet and attacking someone, muahahahahah!

Sorry about that last bit, eh-em.

Very handy for coordanating attacks and getting defense
