Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My brother wants me to record the WWE Royal Rumble which is on Box Office in the next week or two.

I seem to vaguely remember hearing that there are issues with recording from box office (ie. you're not able to!)

    Can anyone confirm?

    - Dave.

I read on a recent thread on digital spy that box office is only using macrovision( the encryption method that blocks video) on some/hardly any programmes, at the moment, so you might be lucky.
It is not permitted to discuss ways around this on this forum.

But I'm sure a search on google might help you.

In the early days of my sky viewing, I connected
Digibox->Video->TV via the SCART leads. When I went to watch anything on Box Office (not recording, mind you), I was unable to watch it.

I did not know at the time what the problem was as it worked fine for the normal channels. I eventually found out that this was to prevent you from recording from Box Office. So, to answer your question, no, you can't record from Box Office.

    OK, heres one for you.

I have a digisender which sends the picture from the TV downstairs to my TV upstairs. Will it be watchable on my TV upstairs? I'd be able to record it there if it was because the video upstairs isn't linked to the digibox downstairs.....

    - Dave.

It depends on whether A. The digisender outputs via scart or Rf and B how your video is connected upstairs.

OK, I've heard of macrovision, but since I've always been able record from Box Office no hassle, I presumed Sky haven't implemented it yet. My VCR is a Ferguson Model FV71LV, is this one of those fabled VCRs that can record macrovision.
(Incidently any time we rent a DVD we always copy it onto video, I heard that DVDs are blocked by macrovision too. Just recored LOTR a couple of weeks ago no hassle)

    A. Scart.
    B. Its a TV/Video Combo unit (i.e. it's one appliance)

As far as I remember, if you press info button for synopsis of event a C will appear on top right to tell you it's Copy Protected (macrovision). If there is no C, then its not protected

Like i said, they are not using it at the moment.
Ha, the films are so old on box office, anyhow, and the selection so bad I can't see why anyone would use them, except for wwf of course.
