Looking for a decent digital camera, about the 3Mg pixel range and ~300-400 euro mark, anybody have any good recommendations?

    Thanks in advance

www.ny-camera.com (bought mine from them, great customer service very friendly and they all speak fluent English if you wanna call them for advice).

I have the 2mp Minolta Dimage x, they have recently released the 3.0mp, but do you really need the 3mp?

Anything over 2.0 I have not found any use for personally, but perhaps you want very large prints?

If you are looking for a Camera just for holidays etc, 3.0mp is completely unneccesary imo.

Its a lovely camera, very light and is bloody tiny!, takes some nice photos, have a look Here

The cons of the Camera are the Battery does not last very long (the upside is they are very cheap to buy and they also charge very fast).

Other models I can reccomend are the Canon Ixus Range

Check out http://www.cam-ireland.com (sites actually German)

I've been looking for something for a while now, very interested in the Fuji Finepix s304 (bit more than your budget...). I've been playing with a Fuji Finepix 4700 zoom for a while now, pretty nice, but no longer sold.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's got anything from the above site...

    Thanks for the replies.
In the end I got in the sales a Kodak DX4330. It was a tossup between that and a Fujifilm A303.
The Specs are a 3M Pixel display + 16M memory + assorted featues. Also had to pick up an extra 32M of memory and rechargable batteries, as I was informed digital cameras use a lot of power.
Spent a day shopping around, and in Cork there was a fair bit of difference between what various shops were selling the same camera for.
Finally, www.cnet.com, was the site I looked at for reviews.

Just in case anyone else is looking... two of the best review sites for digital cameras on the web:

    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews
    http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html

between them I'd say they review nearly every major model made :)
