Yea, they annoy my head, they are just regular trendies, ie who listen to dance crap, but they've observed the popularity of rock music, and decided, "Oh, thats a good way to have a load of friends". GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ANNOY ME SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for these kids ok i dont like them but it's not up to us to deside what they should and shouldn't listen to...As was said earlier they WILL grow out of it and start listenin to REAL music but until then we goin just hav to put up with them cuz they aint goin no-where!!! and why is every1 pickin on Slipknot...i tink their quite a good band(im goin to get killed for this but anyho) compared to sum of the other bands out there anyway...But i do agree that these ikkle kiddies wouldn't be able to tell you 3or4 songs from their so called favourite bands!

I also like slipknot a bit, they have half a dozen good songs at least, pity about all the tripe they have also released and all the twats that like them, but at least they have SOME good music. (namingly: Despise, wait and bleed, Left Behind, Me Inside,SiC. And im sure im missing a few )

yes these little kids with the slipknot & metallica hoddies are annoying but if you ask me, they are an improvment on the skanger scumbags with the caps at a 45degree angle etc.

i gotta say i hate those girls pants with the bits of material hanging off them all over the place, they were cool for about a day.

i hate musical elitism, cant we all just get along? there is enough stress in the world without these petty debates on musical definitions etc.

i listen to the newish kind of american ska like the mighty mighty boss tones and ska punk like the mad caddies and less than jake (among alot of other stuff) and i dond need some one like AH saying "dont you know the origans of this music are in jamaican regge and that the bla bla of the late 70s post punk era is blahdy blah blah..."

i'm not trying to be a smart ass hear, its an honest question:
what is the apeall of those metal band who just distort the instruments that nothing can be heard, the drums just pound and pound with those double bass pedals and your man justs hocks flem all over the mic (i'm obviously exagurating a bit here) . i dont know what its called exactly, 'death-metal'? theres obviously is an attraction, i listen to some slightly more intense punk myself: the misfits, black flag, rancid but i find they have a tune, a melody, lyrics and the skill of each musician can be heard.

to coin a phrase "all my friends are metal heads", well no, but a few are and most of the stuff which i hear them listening to seems awful.

i would love some suggestions of songs for me to "KazaA", stuff to make me learn to love and accept metal, not the sort of metallica stuff eg: unforgiven, enter sandman or black saabath which i know. i hate to use the phrase but i'm refering to the more "hardcore" side of metal.

any suggestions would be cool

This isn't a case of someone not knowing the roots of something... It is in fact, the case that when I am saying 'Such and such is this and that' I am trying to point out to people who think that Goth/Metal/whatever is all the same, that they are in fact completely different and unrelated genres of music.

And it needs to be pointed out that to people who are reffering to the kids as Goth.
