Hi everyone, I have been visiting your forum for a while now but I just decided to join.

I hope some of you can help me with a query I have.
I have the basic Chorus package of terrestrial stations + Sky One,MTV,Sky News, Cartoon Network and Eurosport.

I was wondering is this version of Eurosport, Eurosport UK or is it Eurosprt International?

If it is Eurosport International can you get it changed to Eurosport UK and if so how? What is the cheapest way for us to get Eurosport UK.

(I need to get it before Feb 2 as live Italian football starts on that date!!)

    Thanking you in advance.

Last time I checked, it was Eurosport (International English).

Checking is easy. Look at the DOG (Digitaly Originated Graphic) or on-screen logo in the top corner of the screen. If it has "BRITISH" in blue italics above the "EURO/SPORT" text, it is British Eurosport. If not, its Eurosport (International English).

In fairness, the difference between the two versions is not exactly great. British Eurosport has some in-vision commentators, and UK advertising. That's (with some important exceptions) usually about it.

You can get British Eurosport on Sky Digital, if you're interested.

    Thanks for the reply,

I really need to get the British version as it will be showing Italian Soccer soon. Is it available on any cable package or is Sky Digital the only way to get it?

Sky Digital is the only option, NTL Ireland dropped Eurosport completely from analogue and digital a while back.

AKAIK a family pack sub is required to get British Eurosport on Sky, check their website to make sure.

British Eurosport is on Family pack on Sky Ireland. Dunno if it is on the lower packs (The lower packs don't have RTE/Net2/TV3/TG4/BBC1/BBC2 either).

Eurosport with German commentary is Free on Digital (not sure if it 19E or 13E)

Eurosport with Germ/French or English is (or was last I looked) on Analog Satellite (Free) at 19.2E

Unlike Chorus/NTL, if you cancel Sky after a year you still have:
The System with 60 odd Radio and 70 odd TV (about 7 usefull TV channels).
Ability to add LNBs or move the dish to pickup about 60 free channels on Hotbird or 100 free on Astra. (The Digibox can't "tune" some free channels).
    Totally free reception
