I have an mp3, when I tried to play it in music match, it wouldn't play
I read the tag file ok. I opened it with winamp, again no luck, it did read the tag, and even read the length of time (which musicmatch didn't), I tried to open it with Win Media Player it it played fine, read all tags etc. I then tried playing it in my creative zen mp3 player and that work fine so please help?

Dunno but i would imagine there is some copyright protection in place or something like that. If you are that bothered... do it again.. decode it to wav and re-encode it and make sure no copyright is in place.. best to use an encoder that does not use copyright at all.

you dont need to convert it back to wav. use lame to re-encode it. and if you dont like the command promt just d/l CDex and use the re-encode commpressed audio files option. as easy as falling off a log.

Why use Xing? Lame is better anyway

I didn't know Lame was for windows and for Linux. I use lame to encode all my mp3s. Have you noticed that when you re-encode an mp3 it makes the filesize smaller?

I use MMJB, as it rips at between 7-10x

It is also great for tagging multiple songs, renaming song, etc

I tried that CDex and that worked perfect
