Help my PC

Lads my PC fecked up, and a friend who is a sys admin said he would look at it, hes fairly competent and came back saying that the Compaq Bios ?????? was fecked ???? and theres nothing he can do about fixing it, its a fairly good PC and I really need it, andI sure as hell cant afford to buy a new one ? Any one there…
