Since its a morning of pointless speculation, i thought we might break out and have the:

    EIRCOM BROADBAND LOTTERY!

Rules are simple. Post up the speed you think it will be, the contention and the cap that will be enforced in the following format:

    1meg - 50:1 - 10gb

The winner will be decided by completly fair and impartial means* later tonight. Fabulous Prizes shall be on offer*.

    My guess

    256 - 50:1 - 2gb

This thread has a life span of about 12 hours before it gets recycled, so get guessing :)

    *probably not true
** Defintly not true, but you can put it in your sig claiming the glory

And the best download speed you'll get will be 0.8k, and you'll be disconnected every two hours. Just enough time to check your email!

    OK, here's my wild speculation:

    55 euros per month.
    512k speed.
Not sure of the contention ratio.
    and em 4 gig cap.
