Is there such a thing as a program that can....

    1) automatically turn ON (cold-boot) a computer at a preset time

    2) automatically press (or activate) a preselected dialog button (eg start recording) in a open program at a fixed time

The first one can usually be done in the BIOS. (set alarm time/date)

The second one can be done, I used to do it in VB ages ago. I don't know of a program for it though.

yea, setup bios to boot up

then place a shortcut, .bat file or whatever into your startup folder in the start menu
